Machine design:
- body based on a steel frame

Operating principle:
- The machine operator prepares a weighed portion of dough and, according to the art, forms a round piece of dough called a presa. This presa has to relax and expand a little on the work table near the divider.
- Once the presa has reached optimum technological parameters, the machine operator removes excess flour, places the dough on a dedicated tray and pre-forms the pie by hand.
- A portion of the dough on the tray then lands in the machine and the operator starts the process.
The manual control on the SPA M 11, 15, 18, 22, 30, 30s and 52 models requires the operator, using physical force by pulling a lever, to evenly distribute the presa in the limited headspace, release the dividing knives and, via a side lever, round the buns, guided by experience and practice.
- The finished rounded buns are removed by the operator together with the tray from the machine and directed for further processing.

The standard machine divides the dough into 30 pieces in the range from 40 to 130 grams.
